A charitable organization in Leeds is seeking a Community Sport and Health Officer. In this role, you will support and run inclusive group sessions that engage older individuals in physical activity and reminiscence. The position offers an Advanced Level Apprenticeship lasting 12-18 months, and includes training in health and safety, safeguarding, and dementia awareness. The Community Sport and Health Officer role is an Advanced Level Apprenticeship open to all and including those looking to return to work or to change careers. It is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community, and as a coach with Sporting Memories you will be helping to run fully accessible and inclusive group sessions that are fun, physically and mentally stimulating and include games as well as sporting reminiscence.
There will be a requirement to travel across Leeds on a regular basis, this could be by public transport as part of this role although a driving licence and own transport would be advantageous.
