About the role

Due to a recent expansion, we are looking for Speech and Language Therapists to join our Clinical Hub working as a key integrated member of our local clinical and education teams

In this exciting new role, you will be based in high-quality specialist further education colleges for autistic young people aged 18-25 in West London. You will hold a caseload of autistic young people and/or adults with associated needs such as ADHD, social communication difficulties, sensory processing needs and trauma.

You will be responsible for working alongside the educational and wider clinical team to ensure that learners’ communication needs are being met and support with the development of innovative and tailored solutions to support learners’ engagement in sessions and consequent skill development and improved quality of life. With the full support of our large and experienced Clinical Hub, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.

  • Newly qualified candidates will be considered
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
  • Registered member of RCSLT
  • Previous experience of paid or voluntary work within an educational or complex needs setting
  • Experience within the specialist client group. (Complex communication issues relating to autism, including language disorder, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties and associated challenging behaviour)
  • Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality Knowledge of a range of assessment tools and evidence of skilled application relevant to the specialist client group
  • Ongoing evidence of CPD related to specific client group
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
