The appointees will be expected to play a full role in the delivery of the Dermatology service for both in-patient and out-patient activity and lead continued development and Quality Improvement.
Participation in the general medical on call rota is not required.
All Specialty doctors are required to have a job plan setting out their main duties and responsibilities including a work programme specifying their weekly timetable. The job plan will have both fixed and flexible sessions.
The Trust is seeking to implement changes which will provide appropriate and timely care for all our patients. As the service develops the Trust will extend the working week for all staff. This may lead to job plans which involve three session days and weekend working.
We are looking for 1 full time and 1 part-time Dermatology Specialty Doctors to work alongside the senior team of 7 Consultants and 5 Associate Specialist/Specialist doctors to deliver services such as Skin cancer MDT, advanced Dermatological surgery, medical dermatology and MOHS surgery for Dorset.
Therefore we are looking for the following skills:
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service‑specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality care across seven days, this post may involve participation in an out‑of‑hours rota, including evenings, weekends, and/or bank holidays, in accordance with service needs. Any work undertaken outside standard hours/PA's will attract remuneration in line with the respective NHS Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of Service.
