A private rehabilitation hospital in the UK seeks a Speciality Doctor to join their Acute ward. This part-time role of 30 hours involves assessing and implementing individual care plans for patients with mental health needs, requiring qualifications including an MBBS and GMC registration. Candidates should possess resilience and empathy, navigating both the challenges and rewards of the role, and will be supported in their career development.
Priory Hospital Newbury is looking to recruit a Speciality Doctor to join the team on our Acute ward. This is a part-time role of 30 hours. Priory Hospital Newbury, located Berkshire, is a level 2 rehabilitation service which supports male adults with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community. We also provide an acute service, for local male and female patients who are in crisis and require a short admission for support.
We are well-placed to accept patients who need higher levels of care and intensive therapeutic support, as well as those stepping down in acuity.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’s wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. This post requires an MBBS or equivalent, along with GMC registration and a valid license to practice. The successful candidate should be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and have completed an appraisal or RITA within the past year. The consultant must hold a CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of psychiatry and possess experience working in inpatient settings with individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
Shortlisting may begin upon receipt of applications, and the Recruiting Manager may close the vacancy early if enough suitable candidates are identified.
