Chichester College Group is seeking a passionate Print & Textiles Technician to join our vibrant and friendly Creative Industries team at Brighton Met. If you've been working in the print industry, textile production, or fashion manufacturing and want to share your expertise while developing your own skills, this could be your perfect next move.
Working as part of the technician team, you will keep displays up to date, be a key part of building and setting up the METFest End of Year show and help to organise studio spaces.
You'll be at the heart of our creative workshops, supporting the next generation of designers and makers. From preparing screen‑printing equipment and maintaining sewing machines to helping students bring their creative visions to life, every day will be different. You'll ensure our specialist facilities run smoothly, maintain health and safety standards, and work alongside talented teaching staff who are as passionate about print and textiles as you are.
You'll have hands‑on experience in print, textiles, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the relevant equipment and techniques. You'll be safety‑conscious, well‑organised, and comfortable working both independently and as part of our supportive team. A Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area and basic literacy and numeracy qualifications (or willingness to achieve these) are essential.
