Job summary

A specialized educational provider is seeking a Specialist Outreach SEN Tutor to provide tailored lessons to vulnerable learners. The role involves educational support outside of traditional classrooms and requires substantial experience with special educational needs. Ideal candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status and a compassionate approach to teaching. Flexible working options are available, with a pay rate of up to GBP30 per hour, based on experience and pupil requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent SEN-related teaching qualification.
• Substantial experience working with children with SEN, ideally in roles such as SENCO.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, individualised learning programmes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons for vulnerable learners.
• Build confidence and foster motivation in students.
• Support educational progress outside traditional classrooms.

Skills

Experience with children with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD)

Confidence in off-site settings

Ability to design engaging learning programs
