A healthcare trust in England seeks a Paediatric Dietitian to provide services across multiple sites. The candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and support the training of junior staff. Experience in pediatrics is preferred, and the position requires travel to various clinic locations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in clinical areas such as nutrition support and enteral feeding.
An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Paediatric Dietitian to join our team of dietitians within the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay. Barrow in Furness is on the South Cumbrian coast within easy reach of the Lake District National Park and offers a wide variety of leisure activities for a positive work life balance.
The successful applicant will work alongside an experienced multi-disciplinary team of Paediatricians, Nurses, Dietitians and Therapists who are responsible for providing a service across social and health care boundaries. The department is approved for training student dietitians. You will also provide support to junior and support staff within the wider Dietetic team. You will use your knowledge and skills to support the learning and development of MDT colleagues and contribute towards updating protocols and resources. We have excellent IT facilities and are committed to personal development.
The post will cover both inpatient and outpatient work and you will gain experience in a wide range of clinical areas including nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies and feeding problems.
We operate from three main hospitals—Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal—along with community facilities across Morecambe Bay. All sites offer a range of services including emergency, planned care, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery, with local outreach services as applicable.
Opportunities for extending your skills will be supported where appropriate. The post will involve travel to other sites and clinic locations.
