East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust invites you to apply for a Specialist Doctor post in Community Paediatrics with a focus on neurodevelopmental medicine. This role offers the chance to work as part of a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people with complex needs across a variety of clinical areas. We are an innovative team, undertaking a digital transformation to improve our assessment pathways and address the increasing demand for neurodevelopmental assessments. We also want to explore transdiagnostic assessments in collaboration with other providers and commissioners. Responsibilities

• Provide neurodevelopmental assessments and child development clinics across East Sussex.
• Participate in assessments for autism, ADHD, sleep disorders, and physical disabilities.
• Contribute to the care of Children in Care (CIC), including statutory health assessments.
• Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and specialist nursing teams in delivering multidisciplinary care.
• Offer medical input to the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process in close partnership with the local authority.
• The job plan includes clinics, admin, MDT meetings, peer reviews, and opportunities for teaching and leadership development.
