A healthcare organization in Bradford is seeking an experienced Dietitian to lead the dietetic element of the Active Together Programme for cancer patients. This role involves supporting prehabilitation services, coordinating dietetic input, and providing specialized advice. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team and requires strong communication skills. This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Dietitian to support the development, implementation, continuous monitoring, and improvement of the Active Together Programme.
The overall purpose of this role is to lead, deliver, and sustain the success of the dietetic element of the Active Together Programme at Airedale.This role includes working under the guidance of the Therapy Operational Manager for the Active Together Programme to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and milestones are achieved.The Dietitian will also ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the dietetic component of the service ensuring the delivery of evidence-based practice, and better outcomes for patients.
The successful candidate will also be a part of the friendly and supportive wider Active Together service which includes Physiotherapists, and a Psychologist, with opportunities for peer support, CPD and provision of clinical supervision.
Please note this role requires the post-holder to have access to a car to attend clinics, group workshops, and meetings in the local area.
Airedale NHS foundation trust are working collaboratively with Yorkshire Cancer Research to implement the Active Together model to individuals diagnosed with cancer in the Bradford district and Craven areas.The Active Together programme will run alongside the existing treatment pathways to ensure patients are optimally prepared for treatment and beyond. It aims to maximise resilience to treatment, improve longer term health, minimise side effects and empower patients to be partners in their healthcare.This is a funded 5-year programme which will have staged implementation into all relevant cancer pathways. Currently the service is working with patients diagnosed with colorectal, or breast cancer.
