SEND Tutor Required - Trafford

We are an SEND school in Trafford seeking experienced and compassionate SEND tutors to work with our pupils on a 1:1 and small‑group basis.

Special educational needs & disabilities of our pupils
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Moderate to complex learning difficulties
  • Speech, language, and communication needs
  • Social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
The role will involve
  • Delivering personalised, needs‑led tutoring aligned with EHCP targets
  • Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, functional skills, and life skills
  • Using calm, structured, and trauma‑informed approaches
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
  • Adapting learning to meet individual needs and promote engagement
The successful candidate will
  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Be patient, flexible, and nurturing in their approach
  • Have strong behaviour support and communication skills
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
  • Be available during the school day (term time)
