The Impact You Will Make (Key Duties)
  • Dedicated 1:1/Small Group Support: Provide essential focused support to pupils with various special needs, implementing tailored strategies.
  • Curriculum Partnership: Work closely with the class teacher to effectively bring personalised learning plans to life.
  • Classroom Culture: Champion an inclusive, positive, and structured environment where every student feels secure and valued.
  • Learning Facilitation: Assist with lesson preparation, resource creation, and detailed tracking of student progress.
  • Act as a consistent and positive mentor, guiding students in achieving their social, emotional, and academic goals.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: You must have a minimum of six months of prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting.
  • Approach: Must demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and energetic approach when supporting SEN pupils.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills are essential.
  • Compliance: A current Enhanced DBS check is mandatory, or immediate willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience supporting a spectrum of SEN needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD) is a significant advantage.
