Job summary

A staffing agency in the UK is seeking experienced chefs for temporary roles that may lead to permanent positions. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of catering experience, a level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, and the ability to produce high-quality dishes in a busy kitchen. Responsibilities include cooking, food preparation, and maintaining kitchen standards. Flexible availability is required, primarily within zones 1-3 in London.

Job description

Hospitality2day are looking for Sous chefs, Chef Managers and Head Chefs to join our team and work on long term temporary roles that may be lead to permanent positions.

Our bookings range from B&I sites, event catering and hospitality catering and we pride ourselves in delivering a quality service for our candidates and clients alike.

Chef roles can have various dates, times and locations depending on our clients’ requests but mostly within zones 1-3.

Duties as a chef:

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Assisting the Head Chef and team on site
  • Cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards

Work Experience

  • Previous Catering experience as a Chef preferably within high volume restaurants or contract catering environment (min 3 years working experience)
  • Confident working in a busy kitchen
  • Experience in producing food of a high quality.
  • A current level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate
