Solution Architect – Maritime Autonomous & C4ISR Systems

Shape the future of naval technology. Lead the design of next-generation autonomous and mission-critical maritime systems.

We’re seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep defence and maritime domain knowledge to steer the technical vision behind modern C4ISR, mission system integration, and autonomous maritime capabilities. This role drives architectural direction across multiple programmes, shaping how advanced technologies come together on naval platforms.

This will be a largely remote role - with Client site visits required. Portsmouth, Plymouth, Guildford etc

What You’ll Do

• Define and innovate system architectures for naval combat systems, advanced comms, autonomous navigation, and integrated platform management.
• Convert complex operational needs into clear, end-to-end system designs.
• Work directly with military stakeholders, engineering teams, and industry partners to validate concepts and future capability pathways.
• Ensure technical approaches meet defence standards for safety, interoperability, and security.
• Guide technical solutioning in bids, reviewing architectures, estimating effort, and steering governance.
