Job description

AboutEnergy Systems
We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

Within our Smart Cable Guard Team (SCG) we are looking for a versatile Software Developer to strengthen our team in Arnhem.

Smart Cable Guard is an innovative online multi-functional monitoring system for medium-voltage (MV) power cable networks. The system has two unique functions: detect and locate weak spots (before they result in a fault causing a power outage) and detect and locate faults in underground power cables. The automated system immediately gives a warning when problems arise. Most of SCG software is offered as a SaaS solution through multiple data centers for customers worldwide. Want to know more about Smart Cable Guard? Check our website.

Are you passionate about IOT devices, software solutions and want to join a team working closely with Grid utilities and wind farm owners & operators in improving the resilience and reliability of their grids, this will be the job for you.

Your main responsibilities

  • To deliver bespoke software within the agreed time, costs, and quality standards.
  • Participate in and support all phases of bespoke software solutions including gathering and clarification of requirements, production of technical specifications, software design, implementation, deployment, support of UAT training, documentation, ongoing support, and progress reporting
  • Generate and evaluate metrics for debugging, monitoring, enhancement and management of the embedded software and back-end software
  • Clarify and fine-tune requirements and understanding customer requirements together with Product Owner/Domain specialist and recommend appropriate solutions.

A challenging and varied job in a dynamic and international environment. Being part of a professional team of committed colleagues and having plenty of opportunities for personal growth. We work on-site at the Arnhem office at least three days a week. As the development team is small, you'll need to work independently and embrace a startup mindset. Naturally, the position comes with a competitive salary and attractive benefits.

Based on your experience, we will create a plan together with you for your development for the next few years. We will do this through our 70-20-10 philosophy: 70% learning on the job, 20% coaching and 10% training.
