Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing software development strategies, setting objectives, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.


• Providing technical guidance and expertise to the development team, staying up to date with industry trends, and promoting best practices.


• Develop applications using a variety of languages and technologies.


• Ability to identify and resolve complex technical and project-related issues.


• Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews to ensure team members are achieving their goals.


• Collaborate with team members to define and implement solutions.


• Train and share knowledge with other members of the development function, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.


• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through the implementation of quality assurance processes and the coordination of testing efforts.


• Formal education in software development such as a degree or relevant qualification.


• Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.


• Demonstrable experience in software development and quality assurance.


• Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team, as well as communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


• Familiarity with Azure, Function Apps, Liquid, Power Apps.


• Good understanding of full-stack, including protocols and web server optimization standards.


• Thorough knowledge of programming languages such as C#, PowerShell, Python, and SQL.


• Demonstrable experience and proficiency of M365 and associated applications.


• Ability to identify and resolve complex technical and project-related issues.


• This role will provide mentorship and coaching to junior members of the team and support the Head of Development in designing and executing a development strategy that is aligned to the firm wide digital ambition.
