A local government authority in England seeks an experienced Social Worker to manage complex cases directly with teenagers and their families. This Social Work role requires the effective management of a complex case load, completion of statutory assessments and plans, and direct intervention with young people and their families. You will work closely with partners from police, health, youth justice and education to ensure a robust safeguarding response.
Our teams, which includes our Exploitation and Missing Team, work alongside children aged 12-17 years who are assessed as being at risk from exploitation, mental health, edge of care, homelessness, substance misuse, and other risks outside the home. We are a diverse and dedicated team of professionals who provide a supportive environment for colleagues and encourage creativity in our work with young people. We adopt a Trauma Informed approach and utilise our psychologists within the team to support our work. The voice of the child is central to all we do and we endeavour to get alongside families and utilise their family network with our support wherever possible.
