Social Work Advanced Practitioner - Locality Team (Bradford)

Locum Social Work Advanced Practitioner within Locality Team in Bradford (UK), earning £37 per hour, on a 3-month basis. This role supports work with children and families in Keighley & Shipley under the Bradford Children and Families Trust. You will operate within the Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and care proceedings frameworks. Flexible full-time arrangements and a balanced, supportive working environment are offered.

What you will do

  • Handle a manageable caseload, ensuring high-quality service delivery to children and families.
  • Provide expert guidance and support within CIN, CP, PLO, and care proceedings.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings and develop clear plans of action to support families in need.
  • Collaborate with a team of social workers, prioritising best practice and child safety.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to elevate the team's performance and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant frontline experience working within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
