About the role

The Social Media & PR Manager plays a key role in shaping how YOTEL shows up in the world - building brand awareness, driving engagement, and telling the stories that connect with guests, media, partners, and crew.

This role manages day-to-day social media and PR activity across YOTEL’s channels and brand portfolio, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and agency partners. The ideal candidate is a strong creative, digital native, and proactive storyteller with a finger on the pulse of cultural and travel trends.

More specifically, responsibilities will include the following (not exhaustive list)
  • Manage YOTEL’s global social media presence across all consumer and corporate channels.
  • Create and curate content that reflects YOTEL’s brand voice, design ethos, and cultural relevance - including leading on social-first photography and short-form video
  • Oversee brand influencer strategy and campaigns
  • Support development and execution of PR strategies that elevate YOTEL’s brand, leadership, and hotels.
  • Manage day-to-day media inquiries, press office activity, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and talking points for executives.
  • Manage social media presence and content for key leaders (e.g., CEO), ensuring a consistent and strategic executive voice.
  • Support corporate announcements, development updates, and company news across owned channels.
  • Partner with creative and brand teams to execute campaigns and storytelling moments that reinforce YOTEL’s identity.
  • Lead creative process and approvals for hotel marketing teams content capture needs.
Desired Experiences/Skills
  • Extensive experience in social media management and/or public relations, ideally within hospitality, lifestyle, travel, or consumer brands.
  • Strong writing skills and experience producing high-quality content.
  • Proven ability to manage media relationships and secure coverage.
  • Hands‑on experience with social media analytics and performance tools.
  • Experience managing agencies, creators, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication is a plus.
