Job summary

A private client in Swansea seeks a Personal Assistant to support a lively 5-year-old with Autism. Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself: I am a lively 5-year-old living in Swansea with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I’m looking for a kind, patient, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant who can help me explore the world safely, whilst having lots of fun. I don’t always understand danger, so I need an adult who can keep me safe when we’re out and about. I am happiest when I’m playing, whether that’s roleplay, building things, visiting shops, enjoying soft-play, or relaxing in cafés. I especially love Peppa Pig! I can clearly communicate my needs, wishes, and feelings, so you’ll always know how I’m doing. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, loves play, and wants to make a real difference in helping me grow, discover, and enjoy life securely and happily.

Driver required to take me out.

Male / female preferred - No preference, just someone who can keep me safe and play in my world.

Hours
  • 10 hours per week* x 13 weeks (school holidays)
  • 8 miles* x 13 weeks

*My family are flexible regarding hours and days.

Essential
  • Help me have fun, be creative, and playful;

  • Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
