Glen Centre Day Care at Aviemore are looking for a part time Social Care Assistant to join their team. We are looking for a motivated and caring person to join our dedicated team and provide vital day centre support to vulnerable people, including those living with moderate to severe dementia. At our centre, every day is about enhancing quality of life, promoting independence, and creating moments of joy. With the guidance and support of senior staff, you’ll work alongside day centre colleagues and management to contribute to personalised care plans that truly make a difference.

What you’ll do
  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support.
  • Collaborate with day centre workers to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
  • Help maintain daily routines in both the centre and community settings.
  • Offer personal care with dignity and respect.
  • Escort clients safely on the minibus to and from the centre.

This is a permanent part-time post of 21 hours per week working across 9–5 pm, Monday to Friday (with exciting plans to expand to 7 days per week in the future) or as per service requirements.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
