Job description
Overview

RF Engineer required for design, development, testing and approvals of short-range RF embedded devices for both the existing portfolio and the future roadmap. The role also involves researching new technologies, evaluating new development tools/processes and providing support and assistance in all RF matters.

Responsibilities
  • Primarily contributing to the RF design and development of embedded hardware for offender monitoring equipment.
  • Work within embedded development team to help identify current areas of concern in the design process.
  • Evaluate and analyse third-party software designed to enhance embedded systems development.
  • Support efforts that ensure new products quickly reach the market.
  • Develop new IP and ensure that it can be protected by following IP documentation and confidentiality processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of the technology sectors applicable to the company\'s current and future products.
  • Ensure that all designs are fully documented and archived.
  • Help ensure that all designs are fully type approved and meet all aspects of functionality and performance defined in the specifications.
  • Provide technical support to operations and production teams to ensure product designs are understood and can be correctly manufactured, tested and maintained.
  • Providing frequent updates on task progress with estimates of time elapsed and engineering effort required to complete assigned project tasks.
