Snowflake Data Architect - Global Consultancy
Location: London (Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + bonus & benefits

Are you a Data Architect with deep Snowflake expertise? Our global consulting client is expanding its Data Architecture practice and is looking for a Snowflake-focused specialist to help shape large-scale data strategies and guide enterprise clients through modern cloud-native data transformation.

The Role

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to major organisations, defining data architecture roadmaps, shaping end‑to‑end Snowflake solutions, and ensuring data strategies align with business goals. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership with high‑level consulting, solution design and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Snowflake-centric data platforms, ensuring scalable, secure and high‑performance solutions.
• Define data strategies, target architectures and cloud data visions for enterprise clients.
• Consult with stakeholders to translate business needs into cloud‑native data solutions and delivery plans.
• Develop data models, ingestion patterns and transformation frameworks optimised for Snowflake.
• Provide thought leadership across data architecture and contribute to broader enterprise architecture strategy.
• Guide clients on best practices for Snowflake adoption, optimisation, cost management and long‑term sustainability.
• Support proposal creation, pre‑sales activities and solution shaping as part of wider consulting engagements.
• Oversee architecture governance across the delivery life cycle, ensuring alignment to roadmap and standards.

Required Experience

• 5+ years in Data Architecture roles, ideally within consulting or large enterprise environments.
• Deep, hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including architecture patterns, security, performance tuning, RBAC, data sharing and cost optimisation.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures (preferably AWS) and modern data engineering approaches.
• Experience designing ingestion, transformation and orchestration workflows using tools such as dbt, Matillion, Airflow or similar.
• Expertise in data modelling, data governance and enterprise data strategy.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
