Job summary

A leading turnkey contractor in London is seeking an experienced Small Works Project Manager to join their team. This role involves managing project documentation and progress, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating with stakeholders. You will handle pricing, quotations, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have a background in commercial fit out projects, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise regularly with the Account Manager and stakeholders to manage project documentation and progress.
  • Receive and process pricing documentation, ensuring job numbers are raised and data uploaded to project trackers/databases.
  • Review project scopes and undertake initial site surveys as required.
  • Coordinate quotations — issuing pricing requests to subcontractors/suppliers, reviewing returns for accuracy, and challenging costs where needed.
  • Prepare and issue small works quotations to clients within agreed timelines.
  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate with project admin to issue job packs and approvals to delivery teams.
  • Maintain accurate project and site trackers; update clients and internal teams in weekly meetings.
  • Ensure all RAMS, permits, and H&S documentation are approved before site works begin.
  • Coordinate all disciplines to deliver works safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control inspections, prepare snagging schedules, and manage client handover and sign-off.
  • Ensure all documentation (test certificates, commissioning records, drawings, handover sheets) is complete and issued to the client.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams for timely invoicing and accurate job costing.
  • Support internal H&S audits and close out any corrective actions.
