Our client, an independent veterinary practice with two sites in East Yorkshire, has an exciting opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced and welcoming team. Rooted in a tradition dating back to the 1940s, this RCVS‑accredited practice has grown into a successful two‑site facility with 16 dedicated veterinary surgeons, providing comprehensive 24‑hour call‑out services for pets, farm animals and horses. As the only remaining independent, non‑corporate practice in the area, they are committed to delivering high‑quality care with compassion and a down‑to‑earth approach.

The practice is fully equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology to support exceptional patient care, including an in‑house laboratory, ultrasound, X‑ray, endoscope, CT scanner, a large heated dog hydrotherapy pool and an underwater treadmill for low‑impact exercise. They offer an environment where quality treatment and patient comfort come first.

They are seeking a 100% small animal veterinary surgeon, though they are open to considering a mixed veterinary surgeon with expertise in beef and sheep. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the on‑call rota, but the practice is flexible for the right person. They are also highly supportive of certificate holders and those working toward their certifications, providing ample opportunity for professional development.

Joining this team means working alongside talented veterinary professionals, including certificate holders and those currently studying, as well as a skilled nursing team and an exceptional client care support team. The practice prides itself on maintaining a family‑oriented work environment that prioritises work‑life balance.

Located in the beautiful East Yorkshire, close to the beach and heritage coastline, this is an ideal place for those seeking a rewarding role in a vibrant location. Recently awarded gold status by the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic in 2024, the practice’s commitment to excellent feline care is widely recognised. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a respected practice with a warm community feel and a strong focus on quality, independent veterinary care.
