Overview

Location: Isle of Wight College (Newport Campus)

Salary: £24,828 per annum pro-rata, £12.21 per hour

Contract: term-time only 36 weeks per year

Role overview

Do you have the passion and commitment to help make a difference? Do you have a background in providing care and support to individuals with learning difficulties? This includes supporting learners with physical and/or learning disabilities, who are preparing for working life and independent living.

We have a number of exciting opportunities for individuals to make a real difference to the learning experiences and life skills of our students. Our role focuses on supporting the learning needs of learners with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, sensory or mobility disabilities who attend full and part-time at the IW College working as part of a team under the direction of Section Leaders, ALS Champion and the Head of ALS/FS.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths
  • Level 2 Qualification in Support The Adult Learner or willingness to work towards
  • Hold a First Aid Qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of provision of Personal Care Support
