Job description
Overview

At Swoon, we create design-led furniture that people fall in love with and keep for life. Since 2012, we have grown into one of the UK's most distinctive online-only furniture brands, designing every piece in-house and spotting the next big trend before anyone else. Our secret is a digital-first, data-driven approach that gets products to market fast, keeps prices fair, and delivers a better shopping experience than any store. We partner with leading retailers like John Lewis and Next, and our growth is powered by a scalable business model that is just getting started. Join us now and you will be part of a small, ambitious team making a big impact, shaping a brand loved by customers across the UK and beyond.

What we\'re looking for

We launch around 80 new products every month, run regular promotions, and trade across multiple partner sites. To keep pace, we need a Site Merchandiser who is more than just operational. We want someone who treats every product launch and promo as a commercial lever, trading the shopfront daily to maximise conversion and revenue.

You will join us as Site Merchandiser, owning product set-up, launches, promotions, and partner uploads. You will make sure every click is geared towards performance: products live fast, promotions executed flawlessly, and the shopfront optimised for sales impact.

This is a commercial, hands-on role where speed, accuracy, and trading instinct matter.

Requirements

You will be the engine behind our site and partner merchandising, ensuring our products, promotions, and categories drive growth. Here is how you will make it happen:

  • Deliver product launches at scale:
    • Launch around 80 new products each month with precision: create and import data sheets, upload assets, categorise items, and QC for flawless go-live.
    • Set up customisable products (about 4 families per month) with correct pricing, imagery, and options so customers can configure and buy seamlessly.
  • Run promotions and markdowns:
    • Execute promos and markdowns with flawless timing to maximise sales and margin.
    • Manage go-live and take-down dates to avoid leakage or missed revenue.
    • Partner with trading and marketing to maximise visibility and impact.
  • Keep the shopfront sharp:
    • Optimise site navigation and categories so customers find what they want quickly.
    • React quickly to trading priorities: push bestsellers, spotlight newness, clear stock.
    • Monitor drop-offs, fix errors, and ensure a frictionless customer journey.
  • Manage partner product set-up:
    • Launch products with accuracy on partner sites (John Lewis, Next).
    • Ensure compliance with partner requirements to avoid costly delays.
    • Drive incremental revenue through seamless partner trading.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes ecommerce merchandising: detail-driven, commercially sharp, and relentless about accuracy. To thrive here, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce or site merchandising, ideally with exposure to trading
  • Proven track record delivering high-volume product launches and promotional events that hit commercial targets
  • A "right first time" mentality with zero tolerance for costly errors
  • Experience with data manipulation and spreadsheets (index match, sumifs, etc.)
  • Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple deadlines without slipping
  • Confidence working with product data, imagery, and CMS tools to deliver measurable outcomes
Measures of Success
  • Speed to Market: 100% of product launches live on time and shoppable
  • Accuracy: 0% error rate across launches and promotions
  • Revenue Impact: Demonstrable uplift in sales from promotions, launches, and site optimisations
  • Trading Agility: Responsive execution of trading priorities
Benefits
  • Competitive salary + benefits
  • Share options programme
  • Bonus scheme
  • Wellbeing allowance
  • Pension scheme (including employer contribution)
  • Private medical cover for you and your family
  • 25 days annual leave + an extra day for each year of tenure
  • Your birthday off + an additional day for volunteering/community work
  • Free furniture on each anniversary of employment
  • Friends & family discount
