We’re partnering with a leading EPC contractor on an exciting project based in near Newcastle, and we’re looking for a skilled Site Manager to take charge and deliver excellence on-site.

  • Initial 12-month contract
  • Site-based role
  • Outside IR35

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between General Contractor, the end-client, and consortium partner.
  • Lead and manage the construction project from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee all construction activities, including site preparation, power plant construction, equipment installation, and infrastructure development.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the construction process, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, supervising their work to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections to maintain the highest construction standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Promote clear communication and cooperation with engineers, designers, consultants, and local authorities.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and foster a safety-first culture on-site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting to all project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in managing large-scale industrial or energy construction projects.
  • University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Certification in Project Management is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
