Job description
Overview

This market-leading UK water sector contractor is recruiting for a Site Manager to join their Construction team on one of Scottish Water's flagship projects. You'll be leading site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works, and working closely with the Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager. This is a site-based role with excellent career prospects and a strong package.

The Role
  • Lead and coordinate all site activities as Site Manager.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and with consideration for local communities and the travelling public.
  • Supervise and mentor the site team, driving high standards across HSQE, programme, and budget.
  • Promote cost-conscious management through efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare, review, and update scheme programmes.
  • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are produced, briefed, and kept current.
  • Maintain accurate “as constructed” records for the Health & Safety File.
  • Attend training related to Site Manager duties, including temporary works and appointed person training.
The Site Manager Should
  • Hold recognised civil engineering or site management qualifications.
  • Have Health, Safety and Environmental Management certification (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate).
  • Be CSCS Site Manager certified (minimum).
  • Hold a valid First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Have proven experience managing water or wastewater treatment projects.
