Job summary

A leading Regeneration contractor in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee re-roofing and kitchen schemes. The ideal candidate will have experience in the social housing sector and will be responsible for managing trades, overseeing project schedules, and ensuring high standards are met. This role offers a temporary to permanent contract, with a daily rate of £225 and a potential permanent salary of £33,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must have SMSTS certification.
  • First Aid At Work certification needed.
  • CSCS Card is required.
  • Experience as a Manager or Supervisor in Social Housing is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage trades for repairs and maintenance.
  • Oversee project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Report progress to senior management.
  • Ensure work follows high standards.
  • Coordinate teams and subcontractors.
  • Conduct quality control checks.

Job Overview:

Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Regeneration contractor who are running a re-roofing and kitchen and bathrooms scheme in Barnsley. Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the running of both schemes on a temporary to permanent contract.

The successful Manager will preferably come from a background within the social housing sector, be based within the West Yorkshire area around Bradford due to future schemes that are coming up and you will have worked on similar schemes previously.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing trades such as Joiners, Bricklayers, Plumbers, Plasterers to carry out repairs/maintenance in tenanted and void properties.
  • Overseeing project schedules and ensuring work is completed within set deadlines.
  • Reporting progress to senior management.
  • Ensuring work is completed to the agreed high standards.
  • Coordinating teams of workers and subcontractors
  • Maintaining quality control checks
  • Signing off and handing completed work over to the client
  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are being adhered to

Requirements & Experience

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid At Work
  • CSCS Card
  • Previous experience in the Social Housing Sector as a Manager/Supervisor
  • Own transport
  • Monday - Friday working week, 40-45 Hours per Week
  • £225 Per Day - CIS or UMB payment
  • Temporary to permanent position after 12 - 16 weeks
  • Permanent annual salary is £33,000 plus benefits
