Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Site Engineer for the Sizewell C project in Leiston, Suffolk. The successful candidate will support various civil-engineering works ensuring compliance with contract specifications. Ideal candidates should possess a background in construction or civil engineering with strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures. This position offers a competitive rate of £350 a day plus subsistence and a £50k package depending on experience.

Qualifications

Site Engineer (Sizewell C)

Contract

£350 a day + Subsistence

Location

Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk

Role / Responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil-engineering works including site clearance, drainage & service ducts, earthworks, pavements, kerbs & footways, street lighting, and various other civil-engineering elements.
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Perform setting out and “as-built” surveys.
• Manage quality check sheets / ITPs (inspection and test plans) and carry out onsite inspections.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills Required

• Background in Construction or Civil Engineering; prior experience as a Site or Section Engineer—ideally within a civil/highways environment.
• Good technical knowledge of reinforced-concrete (RC) structures is desirable.
• Familiarity with RC works and formwork, especially in a high-profile / Tier 1 environment, with attention to health, safety, environment (HSE) and quality.
• Proficiency with survey/setting-out instruments—for example, Trimble or Leica EDMs & Laser Levels
