Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a major, long-term civil engineering project in Plymouth. This is a significant multi-disciplinary scheme involving earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, utilities, drainage, highways elements and large-scale construction.

You will play a key role in setting out, quality control, technical coordination and ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate setting out for all site works (RC structures, drainage, utilities, earthworks, roads).
  • Maintain QA documentation, ITPs, as-built records and survey logs.
  • Coordinate with the project management, design and commercial teams to ensure technical issues are resolved quickly.
  • Support subcontractors with engineering guidance and ensure works comply with drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys, produce reports and assist with progress measurement.
  • Uphold all H&S standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civils or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong setting-out skills using GNSS/Total Station.
  • Solid understanding of QA processes and construction tolerances.
