Overview

Job Title: Site Agent

Location: Glasgow

Project: ASTI (Multi-Million Pound Framework for SSE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Agent to join and play a pivotal role in a brand new multi-million pound Power Transmission Framework for SSE. This position is at the Early Contractor Involvement stage, joining the team at the start and seeing the project through to completion. The successful candidate will help shape the success of this venture on behalf of our client.

From now until Summer 2025, you will be based at our client’s Head Office on the outskirts of Glasgow. Afterward, you will work on various sites between Inverness and Aberdeen.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Sub Agents, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work meets project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental policies on-site.
  • Track project progress and proactively address issues or delays.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the site team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar senior supervisory role within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management. Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Certifications: A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel as required.
