Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Band 6 nurse to join our small and friendly team on Ward K2. The role involves working in a small MDT within a day unit, with no weekend working or unsocial hours. You will assist the Senior Sister to lead and manage unit responsibilities and will cover the Division D bleep holder role per rota. Please contact K2 Senior Sister Lynne Marshall for informal visits.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in the overall running of the ward and coordinate the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe, individualized, holistic, and evidence-based patient-focused care.
  • Lead with the MDT within the day unit and cover the Division D bleep holder role per rota.
  • Support the Senior Sister in leading and managing unit responsibilities.
  • Facilitate a positive patient experience and uphold hospital standards of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a learning environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Qualified nurse at Band 6 with current registration.
  • Ideally a cardiac nurse with experience in a cardiac catheter lab.
  • Ability to work in a small MDT within a day unit and no weekend working or unsocial hours.
