A healthcare organization in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a dedicated Band 6 cardiac care nurse for a fixed-term role. Candidates must have at least 2 years in a coronary care unit. An exciting opportunity for a band 6 fixed term position on our cardiac centre.
The cardiac centre comprises of 7 CCU beds, 15 ward beds, and a Cath lab where pacemakers/ILRs are implanted and diagnostic angiography is performed. A Cardiology Diagnostics Department also forms part of the centre.
We expect applicants to have 2 years experience of working on a coronary care unit.

We are looking for a passionate member of staff to join the current band 6 team.
The successful candidate will be part of a leadership team and will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and be dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Acting as a role model, demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise. Providing leadership on clinical shifts, managing the staff, coordinating the shift and ensuring patient safety at all times.
Active involvement in quality data recording and audit collection in order to ensure the patients are receiving the best possible standards of care and monitor for areas of improvements.
Staff development is a key element to the role of a charge nurse/sister, supporting the nursing team to develop and learn and ensuring the competency of colleagues. Alongside this the successful applicant will be required to complete appraisals for the team members, identifying learning opportunities and areas for development.
Deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager
Assist in the investigation of complaints through the Trust's complaints procedure, using these as a learning opportunity and support the Ward Manager to change practice as a result, when appropriate.

STAFF CAR PARKING
Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 18:30.
For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.
This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete on call duties within their role.
