Job summary

A reputable construction contractor is seeking Shuttering Carpenters for a long-term infrastructure project in Reading. The ideal candidate will have proven formwork carpentry experience, a Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card, and own tools. This position offers £25 per hour for 50 hours a week, with work commencing ASAP.

Qualifications

• Proven formwork carpentry experience required.
• Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card is essential.
• IPAF / Harness training is preferred.

Overview

Kilnbridge is hiring Shuttering Carpenters to join our team working on a long-term infrastructure project in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering on a major UK project.

Shuttering / Formwork Carpenter – Reading project

Location: Reading area
Duration: Minimum 2 months
Contract: Self employed
Pay rate: £25
Hours: 50 hours per week paid
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Construct and install formwork and shuttering
• Interpret and work from technical drawings
• Ensure high-quality workmanship on all carpentry tasks
• Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping materials to meet the specific requirements of the formwork design
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• DBS / Criminal Record Check (CRC)
• Must be able to provide proof of address
• 5 year address history
• 5 year work history
• Proven formwork carpentry experience
• Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card
• Own tools
• IPAF / Harness training (Preferred)
