The Opportunity

I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare/pharmaceutical brand looking for a commercially focused and strategically minded Shopper Marketing Manager to join their UK marketing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience in FMCG, healthcare, or pharmacy retail to lead and deliver impactful shopper campaigns across major UK retailers and pharmacy partners.

You'll work remotely for the most part, with just one day a month required on-site in Berkshire – making this ideal for candidates across the UK with shopper marketing experience and a desire for flexible working.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement shopper marketing strategies across leading UK retail and pharmacy channels (e.g. Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Amazon).

•Collaborate with sales, brand, and category teams to ensure campaigns align with broader business objectives.

•Manage activation calendars, promotions, and in-store/online executions to drive shopper engagement and conversion.

•Oversee the development of retailer-specific POS, digital assets, and in-store communications.

•Analyse campaign performance and report on key KPIs and ROI, using insights to inform future activity.

•Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and retail partners.

•Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

•3–5 years' experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, or brand activation (FMCG or healthcare/pharma background preferred).

•Strong understanding of shopper behaviour, retail media, and channel dynamics.

•Proven experience activating campaigns across pharmacy or grocery retail channels.

•Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.

•Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, brand, and category teams.

•Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate insights into action.

•Able to commit to one day per month on-site in Berkshire.
