Carpenter / Shopfitting Engineer — Permanent (CIS)

Location: Tilbury-based (must be local)
Employment: Permanent (Paid CIS)
Pay: £200 per day
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel: Across London (company van provided)

We are seeking a Skilled Carpenter / Shopfitting Engineer to join a busy and established shopfitting team. This is a long-term permanent opportunity for someone reliable, practical and proud of their workmanship.

The role involves a wide variety of fit-out projects across London, working on retail, commercial and hospitality sites. Core duties are carpentry-focused, with occasional additional tasks such as painting, tiling and general finishing depending on project needs.

What we’re looking for

• At least 5 years’ carpentry/shopfitting experience
• Full UK driving licence — local to Tilbury preferred
• Willing to travel across London for jobs (van provided)
• Able to work independently and confidently on live projects

Key responsibilities

• 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
• Installation of counters, shelving, cabinets, displays & bespoke joinery
• Working to high finish standards
• Minor painting, tiling and general trade work when required
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
