A UK construction services company is looking for a Shipper to manage Minimix concrete deliveries in the Midlands. You will engage with customers, schedule deliveries, and ensure compliance with operational standards. The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, and experience in customer service or distribution planning is preferred. This role offers a rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work. Benefits include a bonus scheme and enhanced holiday entitlement.
Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager the Shipper will be responsible for processing orders and coordinating the day-to-day deliveries of Minimix concrete deliveries across the Midlands by vehicles owned and operated by Tarmac third party haulage base. Responsibilities for this role of Shipper will include:
This role is a Monday - Friday role on a rotating shift pattern (7am - 4pm and 8.30am - 5.30pm) and Saturday mornings when required (approx once per month)
Are you an experienced Service Delivery Coordinator? Do you enjoy multi-tasking, engaging with customers, taking orders, providing updates and guidance? Are you passionate about working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same?, The ideal candidate for the role of Shipper will have worked in a similar industry providing support to a wider team. Whilst industry experience is preferred it is not essential. If you have proven customer service or distribution / route planning experience in an office based environment, and you enjoy working as part of a team then this role may be of interest.
