If you are a confident and proactive Mechanically Bias Engineer looking for a new challenge then we want to speak to you !!

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering Team at our clients manufacturing site that is based in Skelmersdale that produce a wide range of recognised snacks !

Working in this fast paced manufacturing facility you will be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns keeping downtime to a minimum ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will be Apprentice trained with a mechanical bias with a good understanding of electrical engineering ensuring safety standards and procedures are prioritised at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Checks of maintenance activities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification, Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Good understanding of Siemens / Allen Bradley
  • Good understanding of SCADA control systems
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good manufacturing practices
Salary and Benefits
  • Annual Salary £58,943 (inclusive of shift allowance)
  • 23 Days Annual Leave
  • Quarterly Incentive between £1,000 - £3,000 annually (KPI dependant)
