Qualifications

• Essential: Qualifications in an Engineering discipline relevant to waste or power industry.
• Desirable: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with boiler operation and maintenance.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver a smooth and safe shift on the ERF, organising resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to best effect, prioritising the wellbeing of our people and efficiency of the plant.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a modern Energy Recovery Facility, maximising performance whilst maintaining all environmental standards.
• Acting as the “Senior Authorised Person” on shift and managing the activities of the operational shift and energy recovery facility operatives.
• Managing the activities of the plant and operatives when in the position of Day Shift Team Leader and when on shift outside normal working hours.
• Assist with VMR auditing, reporting and training.
• Outage preparation.
• Liaising with external contractors and acting as the face of Veolia.

Qualifications

• Essential: Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (relevant to the waste industry or power industry) or equivalent experience.
• Boiler operation and maintenance with burner combustions experience.
• Desirable: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent is desirable.
• NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely.
