Shift Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Skilled Building Services Engineer to join the on‑site engineering team at a prestigious City of London skyscraper, just a short walk from Fenchurch Street. Working on a continental shift rota, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical building services across a high‑profile, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned and reactive maintenance across a range of building systems
  • Fault finding and repairs on fan coil units (FCUs), TMVs, lighting systems, pumps, AHUs and general HVAC plant
  • Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting (depending on skill bias)
  • Ensuring building compliance, safe systems of work and high engineering standards
  • Supporting BMS operation and responding to alarms
  • Working closely with the on‑site engineering team to maintain a world‑class facility
Skills & Experience
  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with fan coil units, TMVs, lighting, and general building services equipment
  • Confident working autonomously on a shift basis
  • Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
  • Proven background in commercial building maintenance - preferably high‑rise or critical sites
