Overview

Sheet Metal Estimator

Varied position that primarily focuses on pricing up projects, working through engineering drawings, and communicating with customers. The role would suit someone with strong sheet metal knowledge and who enjoys helping customers. The company has a fantastic culture and is actively expanding.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on projects by estimating/pricing sheet metal work after the initial enquiry, which involves some basic design and navigating drawings, followed by follow-up with customers to ensure they have all required information.

• Pricing/estimating project costs from initial customer enquiries; working with RADAN CAD package for design modelling and working through drawings; communicating with customers to discuss requirements and establish estimates.

• Build customer relationships and help open up more project work where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.

• A strong communicator with previous experience supporting customers. This isn’t a sales role, but has account management elements.

• CAD design experience using RADAN for tasks such as nesting.

• Capable of reading engineering drawings.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: c£33,000 to £38,000 as a guide + overtime. 25 days holiday + banks.
