Manpower is currently seeking an interim SHE Capabilities Specialist - Digital, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is fully remote with occasional travel as required to Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run until end October 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

Flexibility with working hours as could be required to work with different time zones.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a member of the SHE capability expertise team Zero Harm to People, focusing on Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor and Construction Safety, owning the delivery of Digital projects, owner of digital products and solutions in scope, and thus enhancing capability and fostering a strong SHE culture on sites and within and beyond the Unilever organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership:

• Owner of select digital projects, solutions, and/or products of the expertise platform.
• Serve as the overall subject matter expert for these solutions and products.
• Track progress on delivery within the scope of the expertise platform.
• Learn various digital systems used in SHE and Unilever, understand interactions, and manage system implementation and interactions.

Leadership:

• Ensure the delivery of solutions and products for the Expertise Platform as per the annual plan.
• Coordinate training sessions and/or train users globally to ensure successful implementation; provide guidance and support.
• Coordinate SMEs to ensure solutions/products function as needed.
• Lead by example; promote safe behaviors and practices, and foster a learning environment.
• Support the development of Digital Strategy and Digital Architecture aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct organizational needs assessments for the expertise platform.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools through success metrics, user feedback, and evaluation methods.
• Address functional issues, recommend improvements based on feedback.
• Ensure solutions are user-friendly, fit for purpose, and up-to-date.
• Assist in revising functionalities and features.
• Stay updated with new technologies to improve solutions.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate with SMEs, specialists, and users to ensure solutions meet plans.
• Foster relationships within SHE and with other functions for smooth operation.
• Work with stakeholders outside SHE and external experts to deliver solutions as planned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, finance, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in SHE, engineering, IT.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
• Experience in multicultural environments.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in SHE management systems and tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and site personnel.
