Overview

Job summary: The role will support the Deputy General Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the services Trust wide, providing visible site leadership alongside the Respiratory Nurse Consultant and Specialty Clinical Leads. The post will support the Deputy General Manager to develop and monitor service strategies, formulate the annual service plan, implement it, and monitor progress.

Main duties
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of service delivery plans, patient pathways, annual business plan and activity and income plans to ensure quality services are developed and maintained.
  • Work with the senior management team to produce, revise and update policies and procedures to establish and maintain high standards of working practice.
  • Undertake a range of service improvement projects and required delegated duties, including the development of Cost Improvement Programmes to ensure efficiencies and support patient flow on each site with the management team.
  • Deputise for the Deputy General Manager in aspects relating to the service for both the emergency pathways and the elective/outpatient pathways.
