Overview

As an HVAC Maintenance Technician at Tesco, covering our Aberdeen and Dundee areas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping environments comfortable, safe, and fully operational for customers and colleagues. Your expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems will ensure our stores remain energy-efficient and compliant with safety standards. The Hiring Manager for this role is Steve Evans.

You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team, responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of HVAC systems and equipment. From diagnosing faults to carrying out repairs and optimising system performance, your work will help ensure a seamless shopping experience for thousands of customers every day. This is a hands-on, mobile role that requires strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to high standards of service and safety. • Following the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fix, maximise productivity, and effectiveness.
• Delivering high-quality work standards across the estate, with year-on-year improvement.
• Using problem-solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
• Own tasks at a local level through to completion/resolution, informing key stakeholders through the process where required.
• Using mobile devices to drive best practice in work completion and updates.
• Use the business systems to drive best practice in work order reporting to support asset lifecycle management.
• Supporting KPI delivery through practical application of skill sets and effective use of business systems to achieve personal KPIs.
