A luxury resort in Malaysia is seeking a Service Leader – Procurement to manage and coordinate procurement functions, ensuring timely deliveries and quality goods. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in Procurement, 2 years of relevant experience, strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Qualifications

We are looking for Service Leader – Procurementto join our team!

As a Service Leader – Procurement, we rely on you to

  • acts as coordinators to various divisions department staff and ensure an efficient filling system to obtain result on procurement functions.
  • Ensure that goods being ordered are delivered on time and in good quality.
  • Interact closely with operating equipment and other F&B supplier.
  • Consolidate food products for better price negotiation and contracts.
  • Source quotations from suppliers to ensure purchases are made in the best interest of the company.
  • Process assigned PR’s.
  • Performs market survey, including competitor hotels and make comparison with current suppliers prices to ensure competitiveness.
  • Maintain & regularly update vendor profile files to comply with the Shangri-Larequirements.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Diploma, Degree or any relevant certification in the field.
  • Preferably with atleast 2 years work experience in Procurement/Sourcing from any business industry.
  • Has good communication and people management skills.
  • Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
  • Has strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Able to communicate priorities and drives business results.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty.
  • Smart with pleasing personality. Has good negotiation skills.
  • A self-starter and customer-oriented.
  • Displays initiative, commitment to professional values.
  • Is a critical thinker and a problem-solver.
  • Is knowledgeable in any Procurement System (i.e. SCM, SAP, etc.)
  • Is proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
