Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance on compressed air equipment.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on air compressors and vacuum pumps.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs.

Skills

Required to join a leading compressed air manufacturer.

The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Midlands. Earn a strong OTE with bonus, commission, regular overtime, and enhanced on-call rates.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer must have field servicing background in compressors, compressed air, vacuum pumps, nitrogen generators, air filtration, or similar compressed air systems. Full product training provided.

Role

To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.

  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
  • Maintain, repair and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the Midlands and South Wales.
  • Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Earn a strong OTE with bonus, commission, regular overtime, and enhanced on-call rates.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical compressed air systems.
  • Experience as a compressor engineer is essential.
  • The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Field servicing background in compressors, compressed air, vacuum pumps, nitrogen generators, air filtration or similar compressed air equipment. Full product training provided.
  • A technical engineering qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to be part of the on call rota 1 in 5.
  • Homebased, willing to travel across the Midlands.
