Main duties of the job

We are seeking a motivated and organised Administrator to support our busy community drug and alcohol service in Bournemouth. In this role you will be part of our data support team, providing an all‑round administration service including secretarial and data‑related tasks. The position will specifically support the Criminal Justice team and provide data support to the service as a whole. It is a fixed‑term role (full time) until 30 March 2026, and we are awaiting an update on potential funding for 2026/27.

Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support in a busy environment.
  • Supporting the Criminal Justice team with data collection, management and reporting.
  • Managing administration tasks for a service that supports a large client base.
  • Ensuring smooth run of the administrative team to help achieve service delivery goals.
Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including database management and comfort with digital media.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good level of Maths and English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage and prioritise time effectively, dealing with changing and conflicting demands with ease.
  • Understanding of work‑based Health & Safety issues.
  • Some flexibility with working hours and location from time to time.
  • Experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment.

Working in a charitable organisation or having knowledge of our client group would be an advantage, but is not essential.
