The purpose of youth work is to empower young people aged 11-25 years to act on the social, political and cultural issues which affect their lives.
The aim of all youth work is to provide opportunities for young people, both individually and collectively, to make informed choices regarding the issues, which govern their lives, and to provide support and opportunities for young people to develop strategies and structures to directly manage and control strategies that address these issues.
This role is to focus on working and developing relationships with young people, and providing mechanisms for young people to develop relationships with other young people and, where appropriate, adults.
