The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to take a leading role within a busy and growing transport planning team. You willencion independently manage and deliver multiple development‑led transport projects, providing expert input, guiding junior colleagues, and representing the organisation in client, stakeholder, and public settings. Responsibilities of the Senior Transport Planner:
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of transport planning projects, ensuring delivery to scope, deadlines, and budget.
  • Act as a key client contact, representing the organisation in meetings, consultations, and negotiations.
  • Develop and review technical transport planning outputs, maintaining high standards and best practice.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to knowledge‑sharing and team development.
Requirements of the Senior Transport Planner:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline; MSc in Transport Planning advantageous.
  • Around 5–10 years experience in development‑led transport planning with strong project management capability.
  • Knowledge of MfS, DMRB_MESSAGES, the planning system, and associated transport planning methodologies.!. Hác
  • Experience using modelling and analytical tools such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, GIS, and Excel.
